Nothing, really. But lots of people have rep requirements, which means you have to meet a certain criteria to claim what they raffled. So it can be useful if you want to win certain raffles.
Rep = Reputation. You earn it when people give it to you for doing raffles. Just start a raffle and you're bound to earn rep. Make sure to read the rules first, though.
You have a bunch of crap in your inventory. Maybe you could raffle some of them off and earn some rep?

If you're going to go on every raffle and say 'hope i win this', perhaps you should read the descriptions and learn about rep requirements first? Just a tip.
