I did my first raffle today and I was surprised how easy it was (and the person that got the item even helped me), but after reading your text it feels like I already missed the best time of TF2 raffling. I also dislike that whole rating system. I mean, sure, I get why it can be good, but the only way for a system like that to work is if no one abuses it. This unfortunately isn't the case here if what you've wrote is true. Reading the second last paragraph of your opinion on raffles makes me have to say this. You should know anyone with a symbol of status has more "Respect" amongst the other users. People look up to someone with a large amount of numbers or specifically colored name because they would rather trust that person's opinion over someone lesser. And while that may seem like a terrible thing, there isn't anything you can do about it because it's common in any community that has ranks or any community that constantly has a stream of different users. If you've been here longer people will respect your opinion provided you haven't stirred the shitpot one too many times. People have listened to you many times when you had something to say. Remember pre-rule17 when you made that raffle? People agreed with you because of your status on the site. If any new guy said that he'd get shot down. It's just how it is.
