Rep requirements keep the site moving, something like a pyramid scheme. Otherwise there's absolutely 0 incentive for anyone to do anything but enter every damn raffle there is. While you can't mandate generosity, it's a crummy feeling to have a 0/0 beat you when it comes to an unusual.

I like your attitude. Rep requirements are indeed for pussies, because giving stuff away for free is not about expecting someone to give something too. You have a perfectly fine spirit of giving, unlike some people's spirit of getting something in return
